Every product from Myrrh & Melanin Botanicals is made by hand, in small batches, using 100% natural ingredients. Because of this, our timeline is a little different from mass-produced goods — and we think that is something worth appreciating. Here is everything you need to know about how we get your order to you.

Shipping Policy

Processing Time

All orders are made to order. Standard processing time is 5 to 10 business days from the date your order is confirmed and payment clears. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

Custom orders — including customer-selected ingredient combinations and founder-crafted custom blends — may require additional processing time beyond the standard window. You will receive an estimated completion date when your custom order is confirmed.

During high-volume periods such as holidays, launch events, or promotional sales, processing times may be extended. We will communicate any significant delays via email.

Shipping Methods & Carriers

We ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on package size, destination, and availability. You will see available shipping options and estimated delivery timelines at checkout.

Standard Shipping: estimated 5 to 7 business days after fulfillment
Priority Shipping: estimated 2 to 3 business days after fulfillment
Express Shipping: estimated 1 to 2 business days after fulfillment (where available)

Shipping timelines provided by carriers are estimates, not guarantees. Myrrh & Melanin Botanicals is not responsible for carrier delays once your package has been handed off.

Shipping Destinations

We currently ship throughout the contiguous United States. At this time, we do not offer international shipping. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes for orders containing candles or liquids.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your order weight, dimensions, and delivery destination. Free shipping promotions, when offered, will be displayed on our website and applied automatically at checkout.

Maryland Sales Tax

Orders shipped to Maryland addresses are subject to Maryland sales tax in accordance with state law. The applicable tax rate will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Orders shipped outside Maryland may be subject to destination-state sales tax as required by law.

Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your tracking number. You can use that number directly on the carrier’s website to monitor your delivery status. If you have not received a shipping confirmation within your expected processing window, please check your spam folder first, then contact us at hello@myrrhmelaninbotanicals.com.

Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages

Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, we cannot be held responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after delivery. We recommend shipping to a secure location.

If your package arrives visibly damaged, please photograph both the packaging and the contents immediately and email us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@myrrhmelaninbotanicals.com. We will work with you to resolve the issue.

Returns & Refunds Policy

Our Commitment

We stand behind every product we make. Our goal is for you to love what you receive. If something is not right, we want to hear from you.

Non-Custom Products

For standard (non-custom) products, we accept returns or exchanges within 14 days of delivery, provided:

The product is unused and in its original, unopened packaging
You contact us at hello@myrrhmelaninbotanicals.com within 14 days of delivery to initiate the return
You include your order number in your message

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a product that is damaged or defective through no fault of your own, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos. We will send a replacement at no additional charge or issue a full refund, at our discretion.

Custom Orders — All Sales Final

Because custom orders are made specifically for you — including customer-selected scents or ingredients, and founder-crafted custom blends — all custom order sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or issue refunds on custom orders unless the product arrives damaged or defective.

We encourage you to review all custom selections carefully before confirming your order. If you have questions about an ingredient, scent profile, or product suitability for your skin type, please reach out to us before ordering — we are always happy to help guide your selection.

Gift Sets

Gift sets, including the Sacred Glow Collection and other curated sets, may be returned within 14 days of delivery if all items within the set are unused and in original packaging. Gift sets containing any custom-blended product are subject to the custom order policy above.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you would like a different product, please return the eligible item for a refund and place a new order.

What We Cannot Accept Returns On

Custom orders of any kind
Opened or used products
Products returned more than 14 days after delivery
Products not in original packaging
Sale or clearance items (marked as final sale)

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days of receiving the return. Depending on your bank or card provider, funds may take an additional 3 to 5 business days to appear in your account.
